Rhythms of Rest

DannyMark 6:31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.”
My family and I are going to give heed to the counsel of Jesus. Monday morning we fly off to the desolate deserts of Southern Idaho for a time of resting. It may sound strange but there is something so alluring right now about the serenity of endless sagebrush, some prairie dogs, and the occasional farmer cruising past with kind smile and a hardy wave. It’s been quite a year for all of us and as the summer months are upon us it would behoove each of us to take some respite. In a little less then a year you have officially done it Taproot! The “Trinitanic” is somewhere at the bottom of the oceans of our memories and we’re officially in the life boats pounding out the hull of a brand new ship. It’s even beginning to float on it’s own! I’ll be thinking about you and praying daily that as we gear up for the fall that you would find that summer season of resting in Jesus and enjoying some times of solitude. We have ALOT of work ahead of us in the coming years so may we learn early on to get into those God ordained rhythms of rest.

Judd JohnstoneI just wanted to let you know that I love you guys. It has been awesome as this body of believers has become very dear to my heart. It is amazing that this started a year ago. It seemed like just yesterday that we moved here but so much has happened. Exciting times are coming.

Samantha StrunkI have yet to find this Idaho sagebrush alluring but I hope you guys are able to get some rest while you are here. Come to think of it I don’t think I have ever seen a prairie dog! And Judd is right, it really does seem like yesterday that you guys left. It’s amazing for me to watch this church continually grow. I’m praying for Taproot. I will see you in 2 weeks! cant wait!!!

Terri MoultonDan, Luella and I came down to the Oregon Coast on the 4th of July, Dan went home after 5 days and Luella and I are still here. We head home Wednesday, June 16th. Which means I think we miss your whole trip to Idaho. I am so bummed! Been listening to your amazing messages every week and I am so blessed by them. I’ve been walking in the mornings in my neighborhood and listening to the message on Leadership. It has been great praying for the neighbors, listening to the Lord use Danny in such a mighty way and seeing how the Lord touches us everyday. Can’t wait until you are back on the air! Missing you guys soooooooooooooo much and missing our favorite family. Even though we don’t live close your family is very close in our hearts, minds and prayers.
Love you guys!
Terri
